More Birthday Pics...

Here are a few pictures of Bailey's birthday party at Skate World. All the kids had a good time and didn't want to leave. We asked Bailey what kind of birthday cake she wanted and she asked for ice cream sandwhiches. Score one for the pocket book!!

Sunday

Happy Birthday to Bailey

Bailey's birthday was on the 11th, but we celebrated it today as we were in Portland on Friday. She is 7 years old and said "I felt like I was growing taller on my birthday, dad." I'm not sure how much she grew on that day, but she has grown a ton during the last year. Her teachers in school and church always comment on how great she is to have in class. Although she is usually in the middle of the mischief at home, she is a great helper and a good example.

New Addition

Well...um...here we go again. For those of you who weren't aware, Heather is carrying little Nelson #5. She got her ultrasound today and we are having a little boy! We are all excited, but Matthew might be the most excited. Mackenzie said she only wanted a brother if he is calm. I then informed here that we, her parents, are not capable of making calm children and she will have to make due with another little wild man. So, with that, we welcome our newest little addition. It will be a long 5 and 1/2 months (due date is May 18th), but it will give us some time to prepare for another little one.

Disney World

Disney World Album

We just got back from a family trip to Disney World. The travel to and from Orlando was a bit more than the average person can take. However, Heather is not average and Matt has minor brain damage to the frontal lobe which allows him to make such long journeys. We flew into Ft. Lauderdale and spent a few days recuperating and taking in a few tourist traps along with the beach. We then launched a full frontal assault on the innocent inhabitants of the greater Orlando metropolitan area. With the time change, the holidays, and the sugar infusion, we never really knew what day it was. With that being said, we had 6 great days in the Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom. We all had our favorite parts of the trip:

Mackenzie - Rockin' Roller Coaster in MGM and the beach

Bailey - All the parades and the Monster's Inc. laugh floor

Matthew - All the sticks he was able to find, his training at the Jedi Academy, and the Buzz Lightyear ride

Samantha - The Disney characters and grandma

Heather - The weather

Matt - The beach and the nights when the kids weren't puking

Be sure to click on the picture of Matthew to watch him serve up some humble pie to Darth Vader.

Are we there yet?

This is the end of 17 hours of travel to Disney World. The doctor said there shouldn't be any permanent brain damage. He wasn't so sure Matthew would be so fortunate.

Dad

The kids threw a small rebellion complete with fake crying, tears, and light sabers because of the pictures I posted. Once they realized the collective resistance didn't know my password to change the pictures, they signed a petition requesting that I either take down their pictures or post a not so glamorous one of myself. I think I look pretty good! :o)
